And you know this because??? I bought mine for $30+shipping so cost wasn't a problem and I'll go to the dyno soon so I'll let you know.

someone else posted that moriwaki ones definetely weren't worth it unless you had cams. not sure about the akro ones. our stock exhaust with a slip on isn't exactly restrictive

Those were full racing stage 2 Mori's and I beg to differ on the stock pipe not being restrictive. Take off the rider's right slip-on and look down the tube, some have ground it down but stock there's a large flap of tube covering about a third of the hole. I was playing around with making a single side exhaust and plugged the left side to see what it would look like and there was a major drop in flow. Not so bad on the left,(plugging the right), but a huge drop in power with the left side plugged. Like I said I'll dyno it soon and get some numbers because seat of the pants is just not conclusive enough. Do I feel a difference...I think so but it could be my mind playing tricks on me.

well maybe so... though we're not all so lucky to get a full exhaust for so cheap... I'm not jumping at the chance to spend 1200 for a full exhaust

Indigo, supposedly built by Mori. but not sure about that. The cans were trashed so I still have the 2 bros carbon cans on it and I had to weld a hanger back on that broke in the po's crash. Other than that it was in good shape.

My info, from a guy that has done a lot of development on the VTR, is that a full system is a good improvement on a stock engine, due to the poor standard collector, as Superhawk22 mentioned.

I also know a couple of guys with full systems and no other engine mods who make more horsepower than bikes with standard pipes with slip-ons. Every bike is different of course, but there seems to be a good 7-8 hp in it, if not more. A lot of our Aussie club owners show 105 hp on the dyno, and these two guys are getting 112hp.
