Oh yeah, there's pics of another white Superhawk on my website - Paulie's bike.

timdske 03-05-2007 06:41 PM

Birdoprey 03-05-2007 07:07 PM

azhawk1 03-05-2007 07:52 PM

thanks alot guys I really dig that . I think thats the bath Ill give my hawk.:)

nuhawk 03-05-2007 09:01 PM

I'll never forget the shot of your 'Hawk when it got caught out in the snow. If it were painted white you could lose it in your own driveway!

Hi Greg, It seems like you have MW exhaust syst on SH. How does it sound and performance?

BMiller 03-05-2007 10:19 PM

That's what I want to do..............

PSSSSSST!!!!!

If you are going to paint it white, do the wheels as well.

The devil is in the details.

I have only seen one white in person and it really did look good but all hawks do. :evillaugh: It would look good with all white the plastics and the wheels.

White wheels are a must with a white bike, but then again, the frame needs to be black:twisted:

azhawk1 03-06-2007 09:31 AM

I was thinkin just white the center of the wheels and do the lips to coincide with the othe color of your choice (in my case I think im gonna do white and red) hopefully without the candy cane look

killer5280 03-06-2007 10:32 AM

Black wheels, white bodywork. I hate white wheels because of an F2 I had with the 6 u-shaped spoke white wheels. They were nearly impossible to keep clean. The Hawk's oval 3 spoke wheels are much easier to keep clean, but I still can't endorse white wheels.

nuhawk 03-06-2007 02:32 PM

I agree with Killer. White wheels are for a show bike. Chrome or annodized would be great but white ?? hard to keep them looking good!

azhawk1 03-06-2007 06:03 PM

thats a good point on the clean factor. but white-red bodywork with black wheels isnt a bad combo imo.:?

Hawkrider 03-06-2007 06:49 PM

Thanks for the kudos guys. No white wheels for me. I actually RIDE my Superhawk, and although I'm pretty picky about cleanliness, I just had the wheels powdercoated matte black and like them just like that, thankyouverymuch. :)

The exhaust is in fact a Moriwaki P-Zero can. I had an extra header and chopped off the left side mid and had it patched. The right side mid is a modified RC51 left side mid. The hanger is a Two Brothers high mount that I had collecting dust as well. I had the can sitting in my garage for over 2 years - bought off ebay for $50.

Had white wheels on my 93 Viffer....impossible to keep clean......

A nice white pearl would be nice......audi makes a nice colour white, it was on their "A" series a few years back.....

vtrlvr 03-07-2007 07:02 PM

Same here i had a 93 vfr. Looks awesome but hard to keep that sexy back wheel clean. Had to Simple Green my ass every week to keep them clean. But they do look good. But they are hard to clean.. ok i am done here i am tired going to bed.:|

Birdoprey 03-08-2007 05:04 PM

S100 Cycle Cleaner will clean wheels without hurting them and all the rest of the bike as well. Even cuts through chain lube!
the usual disclaimers, test in inconspicuous area, etc.

Hawkrider 03-08-2007 06:05 PM

Honda polish for chain lube. A+

AZ,
Go for good paint. The old VFRs had a pearl color to their paint, much nicer than my '93, or the 06. Cadillac makes the same color, I used it for my lil Hawk (an NT650).

Throwedsmurf 04-09-2007 12:52 PM

My bike was pearl white when I bought it. Now it has a red rear cowling with everything else white. Looks bad, but hey, it runs good. It's olympic white with the pearl mixed into the clear. The guy had it painted at the local dodge dealer.

How 'bout a photo?

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET! Even the black wheels look nice. I especially like the VTR markings.
If you ever want to go back to stock colors, and sell bodywork, let me know.

Anyone got anymore pics to share (or previous posters that would care to re-load)?

PATIA!

radbikers 01-22-2008 01:42 PM

My wife's white VFR w/white wheels, just FYI

Ok, here's kind of what it looks like if you go all white. You'll just have to imagine this on a VTR....
