dont even mention tripageled.com i got my delay circuit from them for my HID. It toasted. After pulling their heat shrink off the circuit it was just a hobby kit that I had ruled out myself a few weeks prior.
LED chaser kits are cheap. Under 6 bucks. http://www.goldmine-elec-products.co...p?number=C6825 Damnit now I want one, but with a radar detector right below it so its actually scanning something. :) |
I like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afrZcvqRpak

Here is a side to side chaser kit just like kitt for 15 US.
http://store.qkits.com/moreinfo.cfm/MK173 Very simple kit includes everything, you just need to solder. Manual is very easy to read. http://store.qkits.com/moreinfo.cfm/manual_mk173.pdf Supports 4-15 volts DC so even if your R/R is going bad it should work fine, lol |

Won't the amprage from our batteries toast this thing if it's only rated for 20mA? |
I'm just a cave man, I don't understand these crazy terms

That one looks good but I would rather have it flash at the same frequency as the police cars to always give me green lights. :) |

It would be nice to have a modulating, super bright LED in it's place... for day time visibility.
|
i'm embarrassed for humanity that that even exists
|
I just picked up a 4-light LED in red at Advance Auto Parts. 2pk for $11.22. Looks pretty good. They also had them in white.
|
I assume it would be illegal to put a blue led in that spot? I'm almost positive it would be, especially here in MI. Might just go with amber or bright white.

On that note, maybe I design one with variable color LEDs, selectable at speed. When you hit warp-9 on the highway ( above 130 ), the thing starts flashing blue and red, around town its a gentle white strobe. When signaling, it strobes yellow in the direction of signal. maybe not. maybe. |

I thought the same thing....best Idea yet!!!! We need to work on this!
About 10 bucks in parts to build one, then use it to power your LEDs. Maybe build a cheap kit that can be soldered together quick? I thought of making a R/R kit that the users could hobby together, would be the same circuit as the factory made units. half price. Should offer a bunch of motorcycle electronics kits for people who tinker. hmm |

I can give you all a schematic of a pulser circuit that can be variable with a knob. A single IC ( the venerable 555 ) as its heart.

What about replacement LED brake/running light bulbs? They call for 21/5w but what is the bulb ID? ie, 194 or such? |

Easy to form. Easier to cut out. |
Sharkskinz uppers don't have the third eye slot and have Zero Gravity windscreens that fit (without the third eye slot).
