Well if there isn't anything else gold on the bike gold would look out of place. I'd go blue, black, or silver/polished aluminum.

I say replace the levers with black and red ones. Remember red is a faster color!

I also ride an '03 and I put gold levers with blue click adjusters on. I think it look sweet and I get a lot of compliments. I thought blue levers wouldn't match correctly and would be too much. Either way, I rode my Hawk today and everytime I park it I think, "Man, that has got to be the most fun bike every made!"

Me too!!

I vote all black or unfinished aluminum. The blue anodize probably won't match and look bad.

Here's mine.

I thinks replace levers black and red, Red is really very faster color and very nice color.

white for our 03s I think...black looks good on red and yellow bikes but not so good on blue

I had ordered gold and black levers for my red bike and knew that if the anodizing didnt match the way I wanted it to I would remove the anodizing-the gold that arrived was that light bright gold not the darker rich gold I had hoped for so into the glass beader they went-now they are bare aluminum with a clearcoat over top.

I can anodize... lye (powder drano) mixed with water (not sure the ratio off the top of my head) strips anodizing
