War Eagle Racing Lower Fairing...-lower2.jpg War Eagle Racing Lower Fairing...-lower1.jpgI've got one . I just dropped it off to be painted by a friend with a shop. It seems to be made well.

You dont have the same pic as the first one but the opposite side do ya? I am interested how that wraps around? I am pretty sure I am going to stick with the sharkskinz one though. Looks a little better in my opinion. But thanks for the pics and info!

I'll stop by his shop after work and snap a few. It wraps around the cover like the sharkskins.

Looks really nice. I'm now considering buying. Does it mount up right? Nothing loose?

It's not loose at all. It's alittle tight and is so close to the exhaust that I might wrap them. I'm taking it off tonight to add heat tape to the areas that the exhaust comes real close to and even touches on two small places. It looks alot like the sharkskins in pictures, but I've never seen one to compare to side by side. It did come with two brackes and hexhead bolts to brace it to the lower part of the bike , but I can't figure out where they mount to.

I just ordered and recieved my sharkskinz lower. I decided against this lower, only becuase I couldnt find as much info as the Sharkskinz. I have not got mine painted yet, probably do that in the next couple days, but it fits nicely and will look great, yours looks nice also!

These wouldn't look bad on a fighter.

I just went out on a limb and tried war eagle cause I haven't seen anyone on here with one. They are also made in Tennessee, or so I was told. I like the looks of the Pyramid the best , but I couldn't bring myself to pay 500 bucks for a lower that wasn't painted or carbon fiber and ready to go on.

I just got my Sharkskinz painted and on, I will try to get pics up soon. I am impressed and think I spent the money well, but it is very similar to your War Eagle one.

The one I have is a racing fairing ( so I've been told). I did not have any holes in it on the bottom. I drilled two 1/2" holes to let any water or small rocks get out. I was told that is to collect anything that comes out of the motor. I aint racing anytime soon.

I just had a sharkskinz painted and installed. I love it. It came with holes in the bottom and heat tape at the headers already.

I scored it on e-bay for $165 and it is brand new.......

I have a minor graphic kit coming soon. It just needed something extra on the lower. I will snap some pictures soon.

Perfect bro. I was wondering what the "HONDA" lettering across the bottom would look like. I am glad that I ordered the graphic kit last week.

SWEET!!!!!

Being from Alabama and an avid lifelong Tide fan, I can't stand anything "War Eagle" related. Southerners on this board will understand LOL!

That being said it looks like a nice piece.

I just ordered a War Eagle lower on eBay - they have them on sale with bidding starting at $140, Buy Now at $150. Bargoon!

Anybody have pics of their lower painted a different colour to the bike? I have a silver VTR and plan to paint the lower to match the wheels - dark grey metallic. Should set off the yellow spring and the yellow Speigler LSL's I plan to buy next...

I have a bad question to ask. The spot where Pyramid cut out the bottom of the lower and shark skins left it in. I have burn holes where the 2 bros exhaust is rubbing a burning the sharkskinz lower. Besides the header tape and maybe moving stuff around do you guys think that cutting that small section out like the pyramid would hurt the shark skinz? I was thinking of cutting it out and maybe molding it out just a bit to clear the pipes. Just my thoughts and was wondering if anyone else has this issue. Thanks for any response ahead of time. Bugs

It would probly not hurt it in any way and would probly help it to get rid of rocks and water.

i got mine yesterday. i had to take a air grinder to the upper left mounting point where the stock faring bolt goes because it was too thick. i did a test fit and it goes on very tight but the header looks like it clears but it hits the where the slip-ons mount. does anyone have pics of how the aluminum brackets go on. some sanding with 400 grit was enough to smooth out the finish, needed to file the rough edges. i will paint it primer black to see if it burns on the pipes or not befor color matching it.

Superhawk (VTR1000) lower fairing - race legal

I just got my lower and the quality looks really good. Looking forward to painting and mounting it up. The lower even came with mounting hardware already attached. I bought it on ebay for $168 shipped. The seller looks like he has more:

It has been modified once I get the pipe polished up ( I would hate for you all to think I was slob). I will put up some picks of my afternoon cutting. Man is the wife pissed she hates fiberglass.
