I went to remove the pair valve from the rear valve cover on my bike, and a damn bolt snapped off in it, so I tried to get it out with a easy out, that broke off in it, so I ordered a new valve cover off of eBay, while im waiting for it I installed some fuel filters and trimmed the rear fender, tell me what you think. Its not perfect, but it'll work until I get a fender eliminator kit

 

I did the same thing except I eliminated the lisence plate light and mounted the plate higher. I think it looks just fine, nice and clean. For me it's one of those "good enough is good enough".

 

I woulda killed the light but the police around me are ******, they pulled my buddy over and checked to see if his aftermarket headlights on his cavalier were DOT compliant, so i could see them stopping me for not having a light

 

I feel your pain. I did the same thing in an attempt to remove a broken PAIR reed valve bolt with an easy out. If I could turn back time, I would have heated the bolt when I encountered resistance and, if I snapped it, I'd use a left hand drill to remove it.

 

Yeah, I feel your pain. I 'effin hate when that kind of stuff happens to me.

 

I had the valve cover bolt snap off in the front head, talk about frustration...

 

Snapped an exhaust stud in the front cylinder of my hawk parts bike...Working on something older always has its fair share of broken bolts.

I would have trimmed the edges closer to the body, but all I had was a hack saw and sand paper (i dont trust my self getting that close to my paint job with a hack saw), my air compressor took a crap. I have no power in my garage right now though, and my air compressor wont work on a 70' extension cord.
Anyways... I think Honda should be sued for making bolts out of a material softer than lead, the bolt just snapped, i was using a stubby 1/4" ratchet and it snapped with barely any force . I'm slowly replacing all the screws/bolts as I take them out with high grade (12.9) socket head screws, for one thing I like them a lot better than standard bolts, and its a lot harder to snap one of those off

luckily I found a used valve cover for $24 on eBay, next time im not even going to bother with a easy out ill just put a helicoil in

and as a side note don't buy Irwin east outs they are complete crap
