Superhawk chopper?

I was thinking of using one of my extra motors and creating a chopper. Buying one of those chopper frames off eBay that are made for a big Harley twin and turning it into a head scratcher. The extra room in the frame offers extra mods like supercharging. Not sure, but true Honda lovers would get a kick out of it. I would love to be able to get it to fit a cb750 frame but it's too large for that. Superhawk with straight exhaust sure would sound pretty dam loud at 9k lol

definately an interesting idea. I dont know where in the world you would find a super charger for a superhawk though

A supercharger isn't that hard to do, neither is the chopper idea... Have a look at the Kaminari for a few idea's...

Ya I remember looking at that. Its too crude and I am looking for more of the cookie cutter asm. I like the idea of getting a roller and doing the mods to the engine mounts and or the frame to get it shoe horned into it. I am sure it will out perform a Harley engine at half the cost.

You guys sure you are talking about the same bike I am?

The Kaminari is this bike... Made by Hogtech here in Sweden...

That's pretty much the opposite of the bike I was thinking of...

Actually, I'd always thought the one you were thinking of was a concept when I saw it... didn't realize it was a fully running build.

I can safely say it's a fully running build... ;) I have ridden it... ;)

I have had the idea for a chopper using a V-twin other than a Harley engine for about 11 years now. I have actually collected some of the parts for the project already. I just have to many projects at the moment to start this one. It will get done though. I just haven't decided on the engine yet. The reason I want to do it? It's different. The chances of seeing another one in your town or state is almost nil.

Here is a picture of a chopper using a RC-51 engine. This one is interesting. When I do my frame, I'm definitely going with a soft tail.

You guessed it. I was looking at the wrong bike. After looking at the one in the pic, I have a lot of questions. Is that ridged frame now? Is it easy to drive ?

If we are talking about the Kaminari, no it's not rigid, it has the same basic setup as stock... It's actually the stock frame with the rear top of the frame where the shock mounts have been "filled" with a welded in alu sheet that's brushed to match the cast aluminium to fill it out to match the seatpod...

I believe, but cant say for sure, it's a shorter than stock shock, and i know for a fact that it's the stock swingarm that's been stretched a bit with a new set of axle mounts and a bling-bling chainguard...

Basically he re-used as much as possible of the stock parts, it's a "budget build" in that sense, but obviously done by a pro builder with access to a range of tools that most of us just dream about...

Here's the specs...
