Stooopid blinker question
Was working on the Hawk the other day....boy what a pain to take the front fairing off BTW. Anyway, if you disconnect one set of blinkers...what causes the others to flash quickly?
Also, just to confirm...the green wire is the ground. The one with the white stripe is the blinker. And the one solid without the stripe is the running light correct? I checked the book but it wasn't totally intuitive.
Any help would be great. Oh...and reason for the questions are cause I'm installing Proton flushmounts.
Thanks!!

the blinker has a relay which uses the resistance of the incandescent tungsten filaments to regulate it's rate. to indicate a blown filament/bulb the reduced resistance decreases amp draw so rate go up to let you know to change it. leds usually will include dropping resistors to emulate this behaviour. i don't remember the wire codes, i got lucky the first time...
You got green correct as ground. The solid wires (blue and orange) are the turn signal feeds. Easiest way for me to remember is the rear turn signals only have 2 wires and aren't running lights.
