I don't think I've ever seen anybody the makes a link to lower the bike.

This site imports links for raising the bike. Maybe try contacting them and aski if they know a mfg. that sells lowering links.

I think you can change your ride height by shortening/lengthening your linkage? try this place http://www.cemcustomsportbikes.com You may have to send them your link for measurements. I talked to them before about putting swingarm extension on mine and they said if I did that it would raise the rear, thus needing a lowering link. They seemed pretty knowledgeble (sp)

I just installed a lowering link on my wife's 250 Ninja...Got it from Dennis Kirk..made by Diamond power sports .. 2 beautiful cnc aluminum pieces. one inch longer than stock links..lowers bike 2 in....single shock..Pro link kind of set up in the Ninja...not sure of how my VTR works...I'll check tomorrow and see it looks the same..I'll let you know what I think..
