Peg Option

If you're like me and:

1. Rearsets aren't even an option due to inseam length,
1. And, you don't really like the stock pegs or any of the common aftermarket choices.

These are from a 2004-5 CBR1OOORR. They're a direct fit with the stock pin and spring. A five minute bolt on. They match the passenger pegs pretty exactly too. Be warned, though, they're short, about half an inch shorter than stock.

question jschmidt,

I see the boss on the bottom of the peg.
Is that threaded for peg feelers??
I have stock cans and like the warning they provide before I touch down the cans.
If they do I'll order some.

Thanks

Re: Peg Option

For what it's worth, I'm running CBR600F4 footpegs.
A lot more stylish than the stock ones and slightly lower because the rubber is not as thick.
And they are a direct bolt on.

Yep. During my winter layup, I plan to cut them off, but that's what they are there for. I didn't pay much attention but it seems like the same thread as the SH pegs.

Re: Peg Option

I'm running a lowered kawasaki ZX set that I mounted in the mid exhaust mounts. These give my aging knees a big break on 600+ mile days. They use shorter peg feelers so I think the overall warning length is in the same ball park.

I never have like metal pegs (slippery when wet and vibration) and changed my stock vfr ones to rubber F4i pegs.

Re: Peg Option

I'm finding surprisingly little vibration. They haven't really been rain tested yet, but the **** dig right into my boots for a solid connect. (Kinda like that 20 yo teacher you had in 2nd grade. )

I definitely feel more connected to the bike. But your concern is one of the reasons I don't really like knurled pegs. Not enough bite.
