Paint codes

Hi
Does anyone know where I can get the paint codes for my red '98. I purchased a lower fairing and would like to color match it

Thanks in advance

I believe they are under the seat, on a decal.

I'm going through the same thing right now, I wanted to paint the chin guard and new hugger to match the R-157 (Italian Red). I have learned that Honda paints their plastic with a tinted clear coat and a white base coat or primer which means it is hard to match. I have used the color match camera from Dupont and the color it gave is a lot more yellow than stock. I have since been in contact with Dupont Cromax Pro Tech line to see if they have an alternate paint code to go by and they gave code# 3894 which is a General Motors Corp. 1969 Monza Red. (I'll be painting these pieces in the next couple days, I'll keep you posted)

You'll notice on ColorRite the Honda Italian Red paint code R157 comes up as Factory Variance Color.

I tried this route before going through Cromax Pro.

I work at a collision center so I guess I am bias to what products I use. I actually use ColorRite from time to time to get paint codes for bike fairings that ppl want painted because our Dupont computer carries very few bike paint codes. The "Factory Variance Color" tag generally shows up on the hard to match colors.
As for my hugger and chin guard getting painted this week, ... the vehicles scheduled in the shop had more importance so my fairings sit sanded in primer for now. With any luck they will see new paint next week - I will keep you posted.
