Need help with Pyramid lower fairing.

Hey guys. I just bought a lower fairing online. It is not the one made by Sharkskinz. It is a little longer and has 4 screws that hold it on the bike. Anyone installed one before, please let me know how to bolt it up on there. On the website it says there is a mounting kit. Anyone knows what the kit is made up of? Thank you

Can you order the install kit seperately from Pyrmaid?

If not, my lower is held on by four bolts that simply are attached the the case covers by long straight pieces of aluminum with holes drilled in them (to put it simply)

All I had to do was remove a case cover bolt, screw in the alum. extension, then bolt the lower to the extension.

If you need pics to help I can take some.

I think you can engineer something pretty cheaply at your local hardware store that will work.

Good Luck

Re: Need help with Pyramid lower fairing.

I got a pic of the lower. I don't know if its going to help alot. The rear "bracket" is simply a straight piece of aluminum with a hole at each end.

You use the same case cover bolt. Just when you put it back in be sure to use some loctite on it.

The other moutning points are in the front and use the factory mounting locations.

Hope that helps.

Where did you buy the lower from? My Pyramid lower came with the mounting hardware. Basically two long pieces of aluminum that attach to the motor, then the lower attaches to them. I would try either contacting Pyramid or maybe even Dynamohumm and see if they can get you the mounts.

Re: Need help with Pyramid lower fairing.

Thanx for the reply but I got the mechanic fabricating some brackets for it. I will post some pics this weekend as the bike will be done tomorrow.
