gentlemen, i give you, my headlight :D

john rigged this bad boy up for me, a friend of mine whos doing my work right now.

has a projector hid setup and we were debating spicing it up a little. we were thinking one of those evit eye type setups and possibly an angel eye around the hid but thats been used up. so then i thought of the audis and how i enjoy their led light strips. so we took that idea and played with it and came up with this. im thinking ill run the led's in the daytime as a daytime running light as theyre extremely bright and then at night time either run them with the hid or just the hid alone. havent decided yet. i like them, but i welcome comments and criticism

Love it! And, it looks like a 'V' so matches the V twin theme! Nice.....

exactly we thought of doing it straight across the bottom like the audi but after mocking this up it came out looking 100 times better

very cool. you'll have to do a write up on what you did once its all set. what type HID is that and did you use the whole projector?

Used the entire projector with shroud. The projector is a bi xenon but none of that was used as I found just my hid in the halogen lense was plenty bright. Also that had a ds2 bulb and it needed to use its own ballast which is huge. So my bulb was modded to fit the housing.

Ill see if I can get john to do a writeup on this for me as he did it all. I just supplied some of the parts and hald of the ideas

half the ideas my ***, i was on the route to doing it this way, you just sit back and enjoy your headlight lol

and i actually did the led's in the V, for the purpose of the twin, didnt know if stubby here caught on or not lol, but good call on noticing that CANADAVTR

as for Byrdman, ill make you one, you can send me your headlight and ill supply the parts, or you can, and ill just do the work,

i think it looks good, ill have to get a pic with the HID on as well, and decide how you all like it, with the led's on at the same time as the HID or no

also

na your not, i work on bikes for a living, i dont want to say mechanic cause then it sounds like its a job, im a fellow rider as well, so i do it cause i love the sport......

not to sure what id charge to be honest, i guess it all depends on what you want done,

as for uchi, he did have ideas about using a projector yes.... granted i was way ahead of ya on the idea, same with the led's haha

as for everyone here, i do angel eyes and demon eyes as well, not to mention my friend only does led's.... so if there is specific stuff you want done, feel free to ask.....

Not that my word means much but ill vouch for john. Guy is wicked to deal with very upfront about everything aswell. Ran into some issues. Let me know right away where as some people may have tried to hide them. Had compensated me more than I had expected with the issues. I'm quite happy with the way things are going

And don't call him a mechanic. It means he has to charge you more. Lol

Bit like mine that but i put my led's across the top and used the HID. Mine is a Merc c-class projector and shroud in the storm housing really bright with a perfect cutoff. Gonna change the led's and fit a clear lense over the winter.

That looks strangely like a kitchen table in those pictures. My wife would never go for that!

The last time that discussion was had around here the werdict was that if I put bike parts on the table I could go eat in the garage... I thought that sounded as an excellent idea until I found I'd have to cook my own meals as well...

Kind of depends on what projector you are using... For many of popular projectors for retrofits you can find clear lenses on eBay... Others you can kind of wing it with a lense of the same size & depth from another projector, but then you have to adjust the mounting yourself...

the hid retrofit forum also houses a bunch of nut's that can find you a clearlens for the most obscure projector, but expect to pay in platinum...

list of parts totally depends on what way you want to go.... i mean you can use a sinngle projector, or a dual, or a bi xenon, or not, hid or no, depends what led's you want, white, blue, red etc.... not to mention size and such.... so its a super huge list of what if's or wants

as for how much id charge, really i dont know whats fair, kinda waiting to see what ppl off, it takes a lot of time to get it all adjusted right and looking well, or you can do half *** in a few hours.......
