fender headlight / fairing cowl who was first?

using a front fender , (mudguard) as a fairing / screen / styling excersise , who did it first ???

because you should have your toolbox taken away , and banned from ever working on a bike again,

its like arriving at a party with your pants (trousers) on your head

it sucks , its the worst thing ive ever seen

This is rich! We will drain the oil out and strain it in his teeth to check for yellow paint.

Maybe then, we will find the fender.

I'm going to put a fender on rear tail cowling too, just to make sure you know I like fenders. It'll be like wearing pants on your head, pants on backwards, and carbon fiber pants on frontwards all at once.

Woohoo! this is fun, did someone say there's a party? I'd say any party that ends up with your pants on your head, is one hell of a party! By the way, I happen to think the fender idea is very inovative & out of the box.

Well, it kinda resembles this:

And I don't think I can possibly win any more if I get one of these:

It even has freggin triple LED sight lasers! Predator riding Alien? All I need is mithril armor and a light saber to top it off.

And no way I'm taking it off with all the comments this thing garners, such as, "that headlight, dude, it's...uh... unique"

Chicks dig it though. Also, I'm out of garage space from moving. And time cause my job switched.

Thanks for the props though. If you click on the sig and go near the end of the thread, there's more pics of it. Not satin, but a lot of powder coat which isn't as glossy. I want to do more of a pro photo shoot while it's still in good condition. Or take it to a show or something... but, meh, I'll just keep commuting on it.

BTW I'll fly myself and the fender to Ireland if you show me around. You can do what you want with it there. I'll just make a bigger and better one so the projector light looks even stranger posted up on meah.

Also, I get to listen to Flogging Molly really loud the whole time over and over.

Also # II: Really cool use of cutting the fairings in your album pics. I looked at those a long time when I was starting my project...

i had scrap fairings so i said id give it a go , there were some available online but they were huge money 400 -500 bucks if i remember right ??

a guy i worked with had an africa twin with road wheels made a supermoto of sorts (+nasty matt black too ) and he had cut the fairing along the forkline too , so i knew it had some potential ,

im happy with it , but not everybody likes it , theres nothing everybody likes with custom bikes ,

well if ye make it here , i promise you a pint of guinness anyways
!

The stars aligned this weekend and I had my cowling assembly off... soo.... figured I'd go full naked on front and build a small shroud for the HID and remove the fenderairing to see what it would look like.

Weird part is, the airflow is different to the airbox now. I think it's running too rich in the mains. So if I want to keep this I'll have to mess with jetting a little bit.

P.S. This is in no way a direct result of this thread, although it may have been the kicker for me to try something else out
