custom paint

well i've determined that i can no longer keep the hawk the stock yellow color, at least not all the way. i need some ideas about what looks good on the hawk. ive searched about every graphics place on the web and i haven't really seen anything that i like that well. plus i'm not sure how good they will look. especially if i install them on my own. so i'm thinking about spending some dough on the real deal. does anybody have any suggestions about a site to view some custom painted superhawks. i'm not looking to copy cat anybody, just need a few ideas. also, i'm not really into the flame theme. its alittle over done for my taste. looking for something simple but effective.

Re: custom paint

I would suggest you paint it solid midnight blue and enjoy the extra 5 mph you gain in the process. That is correct, dark blue IS the fastest colour

i like blue, but i'm trying to get away from a completely solid color, ... even if it cost me a few miles an hour. maybe grey/ silver / black? the possibilities are endless.

Mikstr, your the Devil!!! Blue, ha ha......Everbody knows that BLACK is indeed the fastest color, bar none!!! Heck just in the time you have been reading this, I have flown past you three times, and am back in my chair and on the computer again.... :P :P Blue however is the second fastest color I will give you that, and it may be 5 mph faster than yellow, don't know....

Re: custom paint

Try going simple with a solid color and set it off with minimal graphics. Check out all of the pictures of mine on myspace.

Re: custom paint

A bit much for my taste but here are some interesting paint jobs with military themes.

Re: custom paint

I'm a huge fan of the two tone black/grey. I love the "black/tribal" that honda had on the 2005 CBR600RR. If I ever had a few extra bills hanging around I'd do something like that offset with some red Honda decals.

And you could definitely hit the Military/Blackhawk Theme with either the black/grey or two tone green to match the chopper.

I hope everyone noticed the passenger pegs on that busa!
Although a bit tacky for me too, those foot pegs are pretty cool.

Hey NOVA, evidentally you are not too far from me, when in school.
My buddy went to Nova. Graduated with a law degree in 1997.

Well technically I have mine custom painted but it's a solid jet black (lincoln navigator) with about 5 layers of clear so it's nothing "exotic" and except for appearing to be still wet it looks stock.

Here's one: http://tinyurl.com/n44kn
I can't believe no one's bidding on it (heavy sarcasm).

Got to admire that guy's enthusiasm, and ability to knock down the flamers :-)
Paint looks beautiful and shiny .... but color is ugly as hell. Unless you like 70's choppers.
He should have saved his money on the stupid bicycle computer, and put some decent aftermarket turnsignals on the bike. Who ever heard of a "custom bike" with a pair of elephant ear stock Honda turnsignals.

That's not true, I have stuff to sell, and noone has F'd with me yet, then again I don't try to slip it into every conversation, or post like some people....On that note if anyone needs a starter bike for whatever reason, or a good commuter bike check out my wifes bike https://www.superhawkforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=2724

See I don't do that all the time, cause it would get old.....just like a job that you might do everday, the same ole same ole, it is time for a change, see cliffhangerstx.com a great business for you, be your own boss!!!! It is for sale!!!

These statements have not been endorsed by the food and drug administration, smoking can and will eventually kill your ***....

i like that look! i may rethink the entire paint job and go with a tapeworks 1041 kit. it has a similar look. i also found another kit from www.alloutgraphics.com its about half the price, but i have never heard about there quality. i've often heard you get what you pay for.
