Anyone have experience laying up carbon fiber?

I'm looking at trying to make a carbon fiber (or possibly fiberglass) hugger, using a mold.
Does anyone have any good places to buy materials online? Any pointers?

HA!!! There is another out there with these ideas as well... here's what i know....

1. It's probably cheaper in the long run to just buy what you want... but since everyone wants custom (including myself) forget the early part of this statement and realize it's gonna cost you more!!!

2. Carbon is on the expensive side, and I've found a few sites that sell it... unfortunatley some are out of stock due to the goverment gobbling up alot for the war in Iraq... I've seen some decent deals on EBAY though, full kits, I'd check there to get an idea of pricing...

3. Here are a few sites I found about making parts and supplies...

Really good:

http://www.webbikeworld.com/t2/carbo...orcycle-parts/

Others:

http://www.fiberglasssupply.com/
http://www.hotrod.com/howto/60478/

Let me know if you go ahead and make something... I've been thinking of doing this for awhile, but have been too busy at work to get started... really interested though.

I haven't done any carbon fiber in about 5 years, but I was doing some fiberglass cloth a week ago and it hit me.
I have to make some form of fender, and it's too much of a pain in the *** to to bend aluminum that way with the tools I have.

Thanks for the links, I'll keep everyone posted.
