50mm Heli bars on 41mm forks?

here is the story:
so i bought them Heli bars of a member here, but he forgot to mention that they are for CBR which front end he had on his bike. So when i received the bars, needless to say, they were bigger then the stock forks i had. At this point the guys was cool about it, and offered to pay for return shipping and refund me the $. But since i already had the one stock bar off, and i was planing on upgrading the font end anyway, there was no point on sending those bars back to the seller....so i figured i will make them work i dont know if any one tried this "unconventional" idea, but here is what i did. i made a spacer out of PVC pipe (figured why not, as there is a PVC spacer inside the the forks) and it made a perfect fit in between fork and bar. they turn out to be really sturdy!

As long as it isn't slipping, it should be fine like that...

Now all you need is the rest of the CBR forks and your bike should be ready for some fun...

Congrats on the ingenuity. I have a camera stand that uses a PVC collar in a similar fashion and it holds a 22 pound camera 8 inches away from the pivot point with no problem.
