Some newer pics

Was out at Barber today taking some shots for a rider at a STT trackday. I'll post the bike shots from the guys on the track in the other forum section later on.

It poured on me just before getting to the track but bike didn't get too dirty.

Thanks. I need to buy some of that blu-away or whatever its called to see if I can get rid of that blueing on the right pipe.

You talking about that black swirly stuff on the lower back side of the left pipe? If so, that is some marrs or something. The previous owner said those came from when he was coming back from the grocery store and had the plastic grocery bag hanging from the rear peg. Plastic bad melted on the pipe and it left some black marrs. I haven't tried to see what I can use to get it off, it will even come off.

You could try some steel wool and soapy water, that might take it off.

Are your rear turn signals at least 9 inches apart?

I doubt it LOL. Why? They are the width of the tag.

Are they supposed to be? Mine have about an inch and half in between.

SD Hawk posted a RANT titled "CHP with too much time on their hands..." citing how he got ticketed for turn signals less than 9" apart.

A friend of mine doesn't even have turn signals on his 851 Duc.

LOL, that's Cali for you.

Good thing I live on the other side of the country. Cops here don't mess with bikes for the most part unless you're blatenly trying to get yourself in trouble with the law.

I'm not sure which brand it is but it is a double bubble in dark tint. I'll look today on my lunch break to see if I see any brand markings on the inside but there are no markings on the outside. It looks alot like a Zero Gravity DB and the previous owner might of just removed their sticker from it.

While the pipe is cool, use a single sided razor blade. It should scrape rite off and not scratch the pipe as long as you keep the razor blade almost flat with the pipe. Some idiot (me) decided to load the bike up in the trailer while wearing flip flops, not long after getting home from a ride one morning. Had black rubber melted to one of my pipes and the razor blade took it off easily without scratching the pipe after it cooled.
