One Proud Dad & Unhappy Mom !

This was so cool to me , I just had to share . After being on dirt bikes for a few years & learning a manual clutch just in the last month on the Thumpstar . My 10yr old son asked to ride the YSR 50 . Like I was going to say no , LOL ! Please notice he is wearing all proper fitting gear ( No squid training going on here ! )

Nice! Get the habit of wearing gear ingrained now!

That ysr50 looks fun! How does it compare to the Aprillia RS50?

My uncle had a YSR. I love those things and that is so cool of you to let your son ride that thing. Good daddy!

Now that's an inspiration. In about 5 years, I'll have to find a little 50 for my boy. His mom will probably be unhappy too.

Awesome... One question where's the over the ankle boots... Come on now... Need all the gear. I think it's great that your starting him off at a young age. My ex's little boy used to go for short runs around the house with me. He wore a xs Helmet and had all his gear laid out. Leather armored Jacket boots and all. Kind of neat taking him for rides. Just need to get him out on the track now. Do i see the future Nicky Hayden?

Yea I know ! I am a gear fanatic too . Unfortunately he has outgrown his Boots he usually wears , along with several sets of barely worn Mx gear ! The good news is a guy on another forum has offered up a full set of gear leathers and boots which his son outgrew . So I am working on it . It gets kinda tuff to go out and buy all new gear every six to eight months only too have them lose interest( ride everyday for a month , then not touch a motorcycle for 3 months and then when they decide to take it up again they have outgrown there stuff . However , The Fulmer helmet is his ( youth size fits perfect ) Joe Rocket jacket ( XS adult ) bought specifically for him & the pants are some kinda skate board pants that have Aramid like panels in the knees & hips . So other than the DC shoes I did the best I could at the time ! Hopefully the Ysr has him hooked enough to keep him interested this time

Awesome!!!!! I pinned Chas between my gas tank and my sack when he was six months old. It was a big fat Yamaha four-wheeler and he loved to putt around. I got pictures to prove it.

He graduated up through 3 four-wheelers on his own and his Mom bought him a CBR when he was 17.

The CBR is gone but he gets out on my Superhawk 3-4 times a month. Always comes back with smiles and thanks.

He's on his own now and realizes what we did for him as a kid and what it takes in the real world as an adult.

And I am all over the message - ATGATT! All the gear, all the time!

FYI a YZ80 motor fits nicely in the YSR50 chassis.

That is VERY awesome man.

and wow. I wish i could come across a little bike like that. I would buy it up not in a heartbeat.

My daughter is 5yrs old. And she got a full faced helmet to match the SuperHawk this year. She is WAY in love with it. She got her first power wheels wheeler at 3, and her first 50cc four wheeler (with all the remote kills and such) for her 5th birthday this year. The day her helmet came in, we went for a ride to a local restaraunt, and my wife met us there in the car. We put our helmets in the car, and went in. Caitlyn (5yr old) started to cry. She was so proud of that helmet, she had me take her back outside to the car and get the helmet, and she had to keep it sitting next to her the entire time we had lunch. And then we stopped by wallymart, and of course, she had to carry it through the entire store. She still to this day brags about that helmet.

My Son is 2, and has been on the 4wheelers with me for over a year now, and this summer, he got to ride up and down the long driveway on the superhawk with me... he was grinning ear to ear.

anyway.... thats very cool man...

BTW... Me and my dad went in together on the 50cc wheeler for the 5th birthday. and told my wife AFTER it was purchased... lol she wasn't happy... nor was she happy when Jacob (2yr old) got to ride the quad for the first time when she specifically said NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO riding him on anything...
