6 years in and running out of things to do to my favorite ride. Other than engine internal mods, I think I've done everything I need/can do to my SH. Thanks to this forum, Eric, Jamie, Beau, Mike, and many others I have the perfect (for me). I've done suspension, brakes, clutch, shifting, intake/jetting, flywheel, 19 liter tank, COP, R/R, MCCT's, Lots of aesthetic and comfort mods,

on and on and on! It runs perfect.

Looks awesome. And if it's perfect for you then I would leave it alone and enjoy it. Maybe find a different project or even another Superhawk project. Is there more you could do? Sure. I put a bike together years ago with an SP2 front end, radial brakes, Marchesinis, SP2 swingarm, Ohlins shock, Gilles rearsets, etc, etc etc... But there's no end to that and for many it eventually can become more of a hassle than it's worth. It did for me. My 2 cents anyway...

You have the same version of OCMD that I suffer from! I was just looking at a larger oil cooler. Not needed but "need" plays no role in OCMD. Where did you find the adaptive fittings?

While you have done a lot, the bike looks well sorted. I would kill for a 19l tank.

They are hard to come by and you need a remote mount petcock. I got mine from Australia (Bike Spares Australia) It had to be labeled "Body parts" or US customs will reject it.

The extra 3 Liters (3/4+ gals) really helps. Due to the slight reshaping bottom of the tank, I've gained about another 10 miles after the YLOD comes on before I'm pushing. LOL The way I ride I get about 125 miles out of my 19L tank. By then my 65 year old butt is ready for a break anyways.

Now Erics got me obsessed with a new/bigger oil cooler and S.S. supply lines! So much for my next Social Security check! OCMD has struck again!

UH OH! I just found the ProBolt site! They have Titanium EVERYTHING for Super Hawks for about $1200 shipped I could replace all the engine case, suspension, and brake bolts plus the axle nuts and swing arm pivot nuts. Heck that's only about $150 an once in weight savings! I don't really need food and clothing anyways!

Recalculating! More like $150 per gram!

And you know what I just found..... a spare set of weld on AN adapters and OEM motor side oil line fittings sitting in a box...lonely, all alone this Christmas, needing to be warm and wanted.

you need a braced swingarm, well you dont NEED it but its something to do

Quite the list there. I am interested in the flash to pass switch and honda euro wiring mods. Was the switch a drop in or was that what the wiring mods were for?

Some have wired the Euro switch to the existing wiring with success. I chose to follow the Euro wiring diagram which entailed running an additional wire thru the loom and tapping into the harness under the seat, behind the battery, ala factory. But, I'm old, anal and I've got nothing else to do. I think E. Marquez did a post about using the existing harness. Search

I think I located a couple of different oil coolers, w/lines and adapters from Webike Japan. I'm working on a braced swingarm. I just need to find a carbon fiber hugger to fit.

I did someplace...it was "easyish" ..confirm all pins/circuit/functions of old and new switch, depin and repin connector, have at it.

I really like what you have done with the bike. She is a beauty. How you can stand the stock wheels is beyond my ken though. :confused:

Pidge, I'm rolling my quarters for my wheel fund. I know where there's a set of new Gale Speeds for sale but the guy wants serious coin. On the positive side they're fitted with discs and sprocket carriers already and he's in no hurry.

Well, I need someone who can make me those lines with the adaptive fittings. Any ideas?

I'd think a good hot-rod shop could do that for you.

I looked into doing this years ago and found that the oem Honda fittings are very unique. And you almost have to adapt them to the hose which is not easy.

I found no suitable fittings without modifying the engine case by drilling and tapping it out for a standard fitting
