a slow blue bike? come now! see what happens when you try to put blue bodywork on what was originally a red bike? lol You can change the appearance but the DNA stays the same, he he

IN all seriousness, nice bike (not quite the right shade of blue but....)

Are those frame sliders? I'm new to the SuperHawk world and haven't been able to find them for the VTR.

Nice bike but........the red truck is making it look a bit slow.

Move it closer to the Black bike it will look really fast. :-)

Red makes everything look faster not slower....why do you think the cops pull over red vehicles so much!

so you 're admitting that the "red is faster" thing is all just an illusion? It's about time you red guys come around.

The reason is chose dark blue is that it may not LOOK fast, but a dark blue does not have to count on "smoke and mirrors" to run like a scolded cat.....lol

Nah
No smoke and mirrors that would be Black and Silver.
I just ment the red truck looked so fast the only way for the blue bike to look fast was to park next to a black one ;-)

The Bird is really Red at heart she is just in disguise.

a rather convoluted thought process I must say...lol

I cannot help but smile when I read the ingenious rationalizations you guys have to explain why and how your "non-dark blue bikes" are fast. This should settle it once and for all: with all due respect to my friends in the US, Honda, in their almost infinite wisdom and beign keeny aware of the somewhat litigous nature of some elements of US society, wisely chose not to release the dark blue ones in your country because they feared the ambulance-chasing lawyers would be hauling their butts into court for relaesing such a potent weapeon to the masses. You see, we in Canada (and Aussie-land and the Continent) are not quite so burdened by these legal zealots so they figured we were expendable. You know, what is one Canuck more or less.... Besides, they know that the odds of launching a successful product liability lawsuit in our jurisdictions is next to impossible. There, you dragged it out of me! Are you happy now?

cheers

Mikstr, where are the pics of your bike?
is it the 2001 dark metallic blue? If so, that is the hawtness(although, black is still faster).

Hi Vitter,

my bike pics are in the photo album (btw, it's a 99). I am not sure if the dark midnight blue VTR's were brought into the US but I susepct not. I was doing a search the other day for the paint code on a US-based site and they had no record of that shade of blue.

Oh, and as to your claim.......yeah right!

To be honest, I like all of the colours but have a preference for the yellow, red and black. I chose the dark blue because the bike was in great shape (bought used), but also because it is a more discrete colour which attracts far less attention than the others (yellow and red especially) from the "donut patrol". Given how fast the dark blue ones are, this was an important consideration, lol

cheers

Ah the truth comes out!!!!!!!!!! A closet yellow and red lover.

If you had the faster red and yellow colors the doughnut boys wouldn't see you coming. :-) LOL!
