Been to the gulf once, not real interested in going again. I was actually getting ready to ride the bike to a DCM match that was almost 200 miles away. If you notice in the background, there's a really cool truck that gets a whopping 11mpg....

Nice rides, I have got a yellow 99 as well, it is my favorite street bike ever, and I have had many many bikes.
I had a 98 back when they first came out, put 15K miles on it and sold it in 99 for an R1...
I bought pretty much every new literbike that came out over the next 5 years...Now I am back on the VTR1000. It is the best streetbike ever in my opinion.. Sure my GSXR1000 made 45 more HP stock but I just have not found anything as enjoyable to ride as the VTR1000
