fighterhawk

my never ending project. 520 chain conversion +1 in the rear , viper race cans, K&N filter, raised subframe, custom fiberglass job on the rear, stealth flush mount blinkers mounted on the inside of the radiators.

looking good. I like the raised tail and shorty cans.

My suggestion, move the damn radiators and show off that beautiful engine.

I like the front lights. Can you show a side shot of the raised tail?

My ears are hurting just looking at those cans.
Looks like the top of the tank is bashed in. Do you stunt? (sit on the tank wheelies?)

You might wanna adjust your oil pickup if your keeping it on the back wheel very long.

start of the new build

putting a 2007 GSXR 600 forks on. fighterhawk-016.jpg

installed pod filters vs the air box the bike will run just fine when i get done jetting fighterhawk-008.jpg

removed the stock radiator overflow tank going to make a custom one and moved the coils from subframe and side of frame and installed them on top of each other underneath the carbs.moved the wiring harrness from under teh side of the frame to the inside the frame. so you cant see it.moved the oil cooler lower down so a single radiator can be mounted in its stock location.going to rebuild the subrame to make it sleeker looking.

when I cut mine down, I saved the dust from the saw and made a pile and lit it on fire. Got to love the way magnesium burns

i raised the tail to give it a more aggressive look on the last go around but found it was a bad idea if you have the old lady ride with you . so cut a new peice to be put in. hated looking at the old brace hang down so much so i ended up with this.

made the mounts for the single radiator upfront. didnt get to envolved with the build because im going to get a CBR radiator later to give it a more complete look. used the old holes from the oil cooler for the top bracket and the old side radifighterhawk-radiator-004.jpg

painted the frame flat black and the radiator gun metal. finally starting to come together i have a month and a half before a big motorcycle gathering "the oyster run" you might have heard of it depends on the area you live. i didnt paint the goose neck on the frame yet due to the steering damper mounts i need welded on but its only rattle canned anyways. bought a gsxr wheel off ebay slightly bent but will have it fixed cant afford a $250 straight wheel. it ended up being $40.48 after shipping cant really go wrong with that. brakes came a day ago fighterhawk-005.jpg

Great job,all looks good.I like the black/silver color.I wonder how a rc51 radiator would fit up front, its a little bit bigger but might help with cooling.Keep up the great work. What year zx6 oil cooler is that?

like i said a couple posts ago its a temp radiator for a couple of months but ya a rc51 rad would cool better. its a 92 zx6 oil cooler i have another one with alot of bent fins if you have the time to bend them back you can have it just pay for shipping
