Lookin' good!

Is that a 190 rear?

superbling Feb 23, 2007 08:58 AM

Sweet, sweet, suuuuhh-weeeeet! Black and gold is a classic combination that never goes out of style.

OK, out with it: details, man, we need details.

SlowHAWK Feb 23, 2007 09:27 AM

Really nice... I like it alot....

2 questions... what forks are those, and what shock do you have hidden under there?

J.

RickB Feb 23, 2007 09:29 AM

Looks nice!

Hawkrider Feb 23, 2007 09:40 AM

That is by far the beefiest triple clamp I've ever seen. I want one.

I'm going to take a guess and say either WP or Wilbers shock and 900 'Blade forks. Am I close?

Nanotech Feb 23, 2007 09:59 AM

Love it..without searching I am going to ask where you got the full fairing. I really like it.

Also, did you powder coat the frame? If so, wondering on a general cost. Those are the 2 things I would like to do this year to mine.

Beautiful bike!

exellent job man!!!! I just bought a set of frame sliders off e-bay t-rex sliders for 68usd shipped you may want to protect that nice investment

mikstr Feb 23, 2007 03:35 PM

frame and swingarm: paint or powdercoat? please......

I'll say it again, your bike look absolutely awesome!!!!

JamieDaugherty Feb 23, 2007 03:39 PM

What's the story on those caliper brackets up front? They look like brackets for oversized rotors, but the rotors appear stock. It caught my eye because the calipers do not look like they line up correctly with the rotor. Is this just the angle of the photos or is something else going on?

saxman Feb 23, 2007 08:22 PM

Extremely well done.
Very classy!!!!!!

HRCVTR1000 Feb 23, 2007 09:19 PM

Nice ! What can I say ? I am partial to black VTR's . The black frame sets it off !

Looks to me like they convert the 900RR caliper mount to the VTR calipers to allow them to work with the stock VTR wheel. At least that's what it looks like....:?:

firestorm'n Feb 24, 2007 07:49 PM

love it !

Texassuperhawk Feb 25, 2007 08:09 AM

Beautiful

JamieDaugherty Feb 25, 2007 08:56 AM

Except the calipers and rotors are both the same as the 900RR. ??? I'm still not sure why the brackets are necessary and it still looks like the calipers are not in the correct placement for the rotors.

Because it running spondon yokes that are wider than stock, the mounts are used to space the calipers back towards the disks, if you get my drift.

Hawkrider Feb 26, 2007 05:23 AM

Ah, cool. So I guess this required different wheel spacers too. What about axle length?

not too sure, this set up was done when a bought the bike, looks like a genuine (honda?) part rather than a bespoke item.

supermarto Sep 5, 2007 08:21 PM

Tom

Anto Nov 3, 2007 05:38 PM

what kind of black on the swingarm & frame?
Not quite full gloss, not quite matte... i'm guessing Semi-gloss?

thefauxnarchist Feb 20, 2009 06:13 PM

this is the sweetest build i've ever seen, the inspiration for my bike before i added the RC's to my stable lol...man mak! where are you these days? like to see how's the hawk been over the last 2 years...(yes this thread is very old, and i spent the time to search for it and drool all over it again...)
