SE valve nut
So last night I was putting the hawk back together and as I was doing so I broke the SE valve nut that goes into the front carb. I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a place a guy might get one cheap (dealer wants $26.00 for the whole needle and spring). OR if someone manufactured one in metal instead of nylon? Pictures below to see what im talking about.

I've buggered two of those on separate occasions. Local stealership charged me $30+ for the packet each time.
I remember reading that one of the snowmobile manufacturers markets a brass fitting that works but I can't remember who and a couple minutes of web search didn't find it.

they hav a threaded end that needs drilled out but they are brass so its easy. and they wont snap like the stock plastic ones do. one of mine was broke when i got the bike the other one i broke trying to put back in the front carb.

I just made one. I broke one, and since I'm broke, I had to make due. The float bowl needle seat on a 1977 rochester quadrajet was the same thread pitch and diameter. Even had the same inside diameter for the valve to seat in. It was also stepped up on the top to receive the cable. The only things I had to do was cut the threads down a little, drill the center big enough for the barrel to slide through it, and put a small spacer in to make the lengths match up. Worked like a charm.
