Rear wheel spacer fit

Hi. I've just got a quick question regarding how the rear wheel spacer fits. I've had the wheels apart for about 4 months cause of the build I'm doing and can't remember how much movement the spacer in the wheel should have. I replaced all the bearings and am pretty sure I installed the bearings all the way but I seem to have approx 1/16 of play. Does this seem right?

Shouldn't be that play once all torqued up

Check diagram that all parts in place and in correct order

Ronayers.com Microfiche Honda>Motorcycle>1999>VTR1000F>REAR WHEEL

And check the downloadable PDF service manual for nut torque etc
