Kick Stand Question

Are all the kick stands the same for each model year? My stand is bent and i need a new one so i can worry less about it falling over one day. There's one off and 03 going for 24.95 on ebay, is it worth it? How much should i be paying?

thanks

Considering how little else changed, I'd expect it to be identical. However I don't know this for a fact.

Kick Stand Question

I had also seen the kickstand on ebay. It's an ok price; compared to what a junkyard or dealer would sell it to you for. It will fit.

As far as the quality, the kickstand on my '98 steed is the one thing that
I am nervous about. big *** bike with a toothpick of a kickstand. the thing
flexes like you wouldn't believe. I am thinking about getting a kickstand from a Suzuki SV and making it work. What do you think?

Holy ****! The kickstand always seemed okay to me. But after dealing with the infamous Duc spring-loaded stand, anything seems good. It bends? I better check this out.

Speaking of kick-stands, why the hell is my clutch slave cylinder leaking after only 20k? I bled, it's clean, but it's started leaking, at the slave. K&L Supply for a re-build kit? Clean it out?

check around on other hondas for pivot/spring details and length because on flebay you can pick up neat new aluminum sidestands (and brake & shift levers) for cheap. I've thought about getting one just to paly with if someone finds a close match.
