I wish. Vermont rules!
Is there any good twisties up there though? I was in back and forth between Burlington and Boston last month and everyone said to ride the Kankamungus Hwy in N.H., but honestly I was disappointed.

It looks like I'm going to Loudon on Sunday, so I won't make it up to Vermont this weekend. I might still go for a local N.H. ride Saturday.

amen to that. i watched the first quarter of the game at a friends house and decided to get back on the road...it was ugly.
are you doing a track day up at louden? not to be pesimistic but the forecast this weekend looks about as bleak as possible...which kinda sucks considering that good riding weekends are getting harder to come by considering the temps. anyway, it would be nice to all meet up for a group ride before the white stuff starts falling.

17 (app gap) is as good as it gets. I skip class weekly to ride it, and then i'll go up and over, turn around and hit it again. Just watch out for the first turn from the west-wicked gravel strewn.
I'm down for a saturday ride. Let me know!

whats the southern most point you can pick up 17?

17 runs east west, if you're coming from NH the eastern most point is really in waitsfield. To get to waitsfield take Exit 3 (royalton/south royalton) take 107 west for like a mile, then get on 12 N for like a mile, then bang a left on Camp Brook Road aka bethel mountain road. That takes you to VT 100, which runs N-S down the whole state. Head north on 100 until you come to the 17 jtc.
More simple but also requiring backtracking would be to get off exit 9 (middlesex) and take 100B south to 100, continuing south to the 17-100 junction in waitsfield.
