Super Bike Saturdays
Super Bike Saturdays
I'm going to start a ride this Saturday and hopefully ever other Saturday there after. Since the dog days of summer have captured us here in the South this will be an early morning ride.
MEET : 0630AM (yes that's AM
) at Oak Ridge Lowes Foods Shopping Center (just meeting- NOT eating), Oak Ridge, NC Hwy 68/150.
Have prayer and then ride
Ride to Stuart, VA for coffee at Honduras and catch return flight to Triad. I anticipate being back in Oak Ridge by 0830ish.
WHY
, I hear you asking.
ANS: This early will beat the heat and those afternoon thunder storms and being back that early will get you home before the rest of the family is getting up on a Saturday morning. So no loss of family time. (Traffic should be light also 8) )
So, if your willing to loose an hours sleep for two hours of two wheeled fellowship, I'll see you Saturday.

Great idea Brian and hope you get some takers.
One tip: fudge on your start time. In this case, you should probably state the start time is 6:00 or 6:15 because many folks will trickle in at 6:30ish; especially that early in the morning. Then there's the obligatory introductions, tire kicking, someone needs gas, putting gear back on, etc and the next thing you know it's 7 or 7:30 before you really head out of town. Or just give folks a "kick stands up" time and the route for late arrivals.

I met Floppy and gang on Saturday and had a great ride. I woke at 4:30 and left the house at 5:15. Ended up riding just under 250 miles and back home by a little after 10AM.
Great way to start a weekend.
