I plan on checking messages her before I leave tomorrow at 7:00am to see who is going. I am hoping the weather will hold for us.

Oh and smack doggle, moose are vegetarians so don't worry about them.

Irrs195 - I'm up for a ride tomorrow, I can definitely meet you in Pepperell. Just tell me when and where. I used to live on Blood street when I first moved out here from San Diego.

FTMS - That's good to know cause I have a phobia of large hairy flesh eating mammals. I grew up in Northern Wisconsin and we have Sasquatch. Okay, maybe I should put the beer down now and take a nap.

Got it, that's the route I used to take every day to work so I know it well. I'll be there around 7 and I'll PM you my number also. I'm assuming you know the way to Bellows Falls or should I google some maps?

I'll meet you guys in Bellows falls (since Irrs195 twisted my arm to go). Bring your waterproof gear as we might run into showers if we are in northern Vermont after 1:00. It might be time to put in some Ape CCTs in my bike, so I'll need you guys to listen to it to rule out if I am being paranoid.

Oh, I also heard that the slowest hawk has to buy breakfast. I think those are the black ones right? I know it's got to be black, blue or yellow

270 miles total, 268.5 miles dry. Just before I got home I hit rain, once I pulled into the garage it stopped. Good fun ride.

Just got home half an hour ago (6:30) I had 420.3 miles altogether and I'd guess about the last 60 were all wet. From Manchester on home it rained, hailed, blew and sucked. Believe it or not there was so much small hail on the 93 it looked liked snow as it accumulated. Top speed on the 93 from Manchester south was about 20 mph. I had to get on the 111 and take it to Nashua to get on the 3 to make it home. Was it a good ride? Hell yes, had a great time, saw some awesome roads and the best part, everyone kept there bikes up and made it home. That's a great ride, now time for bed.

Glad everyone made it home in one peace. You forgot one important fact smack doogle, you didn't get eaton by a moose.

Looking foward to the next ride. Maybe sometime in September?

Well I finally got some maintenance done to the hawk so I should be ready for another ride soon. I installed the APE cam chain tensioners, checked the valve clearances (all in spec with 26K on the bike), new plugs, and flushed the coolant. I think I'm about due for a new chain but hopefully It will hold up for a few more rides.

I also installed the commemorative New England hawk rider (AKA: VT double yellow line assasins) sticker (thanks FTMS).

Any one up for a ride sunday? I was thinking s.vermont, The mt. equinox area. We could take the toll road to the top of the mt. It`s two lanes wide and one way traffic.

You are more than welcome to do a track day with me. These are the days that I have for right now 5/23, 7/20, 8/3. There will be a couple of more days to ad to that one I finish getting the track bike set up and see what I have left for funds.

I hate to admit it, but it might end up a slow shade of red. I have a little way to go before I get to that point.

by the way how much is track day? could you give a rough estimate?
why dont you paint it the faster color to match your other one? I also think silver looks good!

There are several different groups doing track days at NHMS and prices vary. The group I am going with is this one http://www.tonystrackdays.com/

Most of the groups have discounts. If you sign up early you get a discount. If you sign up to get on there email list they will send you info with different programs. I pre-bought my days last fall when they offered them at a really good price. You can do most of them for $200 to $250 for a day. WELL WORTH THE MONEY.

I do not recommend doing them. They are addicting as hell!!!

Right now the bike is not exactly silver. More like a mutt of colors as I get parts from different bikes.

do a different color then red. not sure what but red is everywhere!

im in a big debate right now(if the jeep sells that is) about what to get. I am looking at 954's and they seem to be a pretty nice I4 and i love the way they look. one of my buddies had one and is possibly getting another. or i could always another hawk for $2500 as ftms showed me or something different than those.
