AZ Hawkers... how 'bout a Bagdad ride??
Anybody interested in doing a Bagdad run in the near future? They've got a new diner serving up some good burgers and such.. plus the roads aren't half bad either!
Weekdays are best but I should be able to make any day work. What about you?

Everybody loves that ride! For those who don't know about the road to Bagdad... you're missing out.
As a matter of fact I was out there today with the wife...

Parts are at AZ powdercoat right now (Thanks for the recommendation!- by far the most motorcycle competent of the places I talked to). I probably won't have them until next week because they were pretty busy, but once I get them back I'll have a lot to put together. Only have two major things to figure out still- headlight setup and radiator. I have ideas for both but it's kind of hard to feel them out without the rest of the bike here. And some small stuff like possibly getting 16/43 gearing and frame sliders.

well the weather isn't going to get any cooler, how about it guy's, the road is calling and I know some of you have new parts on your vtr's that need to tried out, nothing beats the echo of big twins off the canyon walls

Possibly! What would the time frame be for this thing? I'm assuming we'd meet in Prescott?
Also, I'd have to bring the Shadow as my Hawk is missing it's heads. I can try to keep up- the left side has been down, probably time to add some scrapes to the right side haha!

Hmm, I was planning on working on my Samurai to try to get it trail ready.. But a ride is very tempting.. Of course I have a dead battery in my SH now (I donated my A123 one to another project) but I can probably revive it enough for a ride.
What path would we take? I17 to Prescott? US60 to US93 to the Baghdad exit? And how early would I have to wake up? lol

We could meet in Prescott or in Kirkland, whichever works best for you guys, although if we meet in Prescott you guys get to ride the Spars. I have a bit of work to do in the morning so it won't be an early ride. I probably won't be able to meet up until noonish.
Lazn, If you can find a way to get you bike here I'm sure I have a good battery for you.
7moore7, bring the Shadow, you'll probably burn me in the twisties with it!

Well I figure I'll go. So here is my plan:
I will tomorrow AM have breakfast at the 5 & Diner on 27th Ave & Beardsley. (I-17 and the 101) I will leave there at around 9:30 giving me plenty of time to make it to Prescott by noon.
Dan, (Inde) I figure we could meet at Bill's Pizza for a quick slice before heading to Baghdad..
Now it has been AGES since I have done much riding at all. So I won't be going fast and am fine with stopping as needed. I do have a FRS radio setup but it's a pain to setup and don't plan to even bring it unless others are bringing theirs.
I am open to suggestions and changes..

Brandon and I were planning on having lunch at the diner in Bagdad but Bill's would be fine too. You should skip that 5 & Diner breakfast though, a meal like that would make mere mortals comatose. If we do skip Bill's we can all meet at the shop, check tire pressure and lube up chains before we go.

Any other takers? We are meeting at 705 Miller Valley Rd. in Prescott at noon. Feel free to call my shop if you're running late or need to meet elsewhere, 928-443-7710
