OK I got all the bodies sorted out. He must have waded into the fray after this shot was taken.

Either way, I don't think he would ever forgive us if we painted the Explorer pink. It does have it's humorous value but the Mazda would have been better - especially cutting the roof off with a recip saw.

It sounds like the Doc is promising us a beat puppy after this is over so we shall see. Can you guys get the Explorer off the freeway?

Hey everyone, was at the doctor monday, then had my MRI done today and i tore my right bicep away from the bone on the upper side of my forearm at the elbow. I will be having surgery to make the repair in the morning at New Braunfels Surgical Center on Common Street. I have to be there at 8am and surgery at 9:30. Wish me luck.

TxDOT or DPS will only allow this for a limited time. You need to get it towed up to his house. Do you have the stuff to do that?

I tried to call today after I thought he should be out of his MRI but got nothing. Him and Jack are prob cuddled up in a corner someplace. Connie will drag him to surgery tomorrow like a wet tuna sandwich. If I was him that exactly the way I would be.

He may surface by Sunday but I doubt sooner. He may be watching us but he prob can't type. Geez - think of the opportunities there.

LMK if I can help.

I got the explorer home monday before going to the doctor, my neighbor and Connie pulled it home.

I've been cuddled up with Crown as i am out of Jack, hahaha.

The doc said it will be a hard surgery on me and that i will probably not like him afterwards (like he thinks that i like him now).

We should have a get-together mod party.

I like your thinking, maybe we can have everyone meet @ the hangar one sunday and just do as many mods as possible in a day! If everyone has there parts ready beforehand, should not be a problem.

Sounds like a good enough idea... I work odd days this month... so any "even" sunday will work for me... just have to go to church first, there is no exception to that if I can help it.

The only problem is I really don't have any mod's I can either financially or feasibly do... any ideas?

That is a good idea, but I usually clean the bike on my down-time at work... so it stays pretty decently clean. That horrid paint just never looks clean though... SOMEONE HOOK ME UP WITH A PAINT SHOP!!! please... lol

KD- If you have a drill press and a vice I can do one of the mods that I've been dying to do... and we could do yours since you hate turn signals so much you might like my idea.

So when should we meet for a mod party? Need to make sure I'm available.
Doug, we could probably install your jet kit.
I need to get my carbs synced up and get the TPS set correctly too, maybe throw some 48 pilot jets in there too.
As for the stock turn signals, I may know a trick for getting rid of the stupid bendy part without any cutting. I'll check it out and let you know tomorrow.

Yep, i have a small drill press and a vise.

I like that look, but i usually take my rear pegs off when my exhaust is "bobbed" as no one in their right mind would ride with me anyway.

I am currently paying a young guy to help me perform simple task' on the aircraft that i maintain. He fawked up about 20+ panel screws today while trying to remove a fuel tank on the right wing of a cessna 172. It's going to be a long week...

What, did he treat them as conventional screws?

These screws are on the upper surface of the wing and subject to weather and rust. If they are not done properly the heads will strip and cause many hours trying to remove them using drill bits and "easy outs".

I was thinking about the screws used on the engine cowling, where you push them in and twist them clockwise to lock them.
Yours could be different, since ours is a 1956.

Okay okay, so the engineer will have to find a way to make this work for KD here...

We might be able to buy another set of passenger pegs/brackets, then we can grind off all passenger carrying related crap, make "shorty" brackets back there... and load it, and the stockers with LED's, then you can have hidden LED turn signals all the time... clean and shiny!

OR I think we can work a quick disconnect into it (maybe)... and work a quick disconnect to the LP lights that you currently have (definitely an undertaking)... so then you can choose which combination of turns to use...

Just a thought...

Where do you have the drill press and the vice at, house or hangar?
