Anyone in/around Austin, TX area?
So I'm curious how many owners there are in/around the Austin area? I am going to be riding my SH from Cali to Austin, oh joy, but I shall be there in about a week.

Yes, as of right now we are planning to ride out to Driftwood to grab some grub...BBQ...Yummmmmmmmy....
All are welcome, if you are in Austin, we will probably have a meet somewhere around 620 that morning, then take 620 over towards 290 and then hit some back roads to driftwood...
Still haven't heard from Doug, so not sure if he is gonna make it or not..

Yeah, I'm in. Coffee at the Nursery before we launch? What time? Do I need to call Bruce? Josh and his GF (Ducati) might also like to go. This is a close in ride about splitting the distance from Northern SA, NB and us riding from NW Austin.
I'll look at a route for our riders tonight. KD and Bruce were down that route last month.

It's the same route out as we took when we went down to the hanger - just shorter. 620 west/71 west to Hamilton Pool/west to 12/south to Dripping Springs/1 Mile south of Dripping East on County 150. These are easy going roads so don't be intimidated. Unless we encounter the gas truck again - then Rand has license to kill or at least blow the ******* thing up!

The Nursery is at:
6914 McNeil Drive
Austin, Texas 78729
My cell is 512-736-2149
The parking lot is closed to the public on Sundays. The gate will be open on Los Indios Drive. We are located right at the corner and there is a signal complete with turn indicators. Parmer Lane is the best ingress. Watch out for the church traffic if you're coming east from 183/Research.

Bike night with ASR tomorrow night? Meet at Big Lots parking lot at 183/Spicewood/McNeil. 6:30 PM Ride to a burger joint in Cedar Park.
Thursday is Bike night at Twin Peaks on Louis Henna. This is pretty big deal but it's mostly harleys although I have met some cool people there on sportbikes and metric cruisers. We might get something going this weekend.
The weather lately has been good compared to 103. 98 is actually liveable. I was out almost all day today and it was great this morning, not so great after lunch and I was back by 1500. I walked across the parking lot an hour later to get the mail and it felt really hot.
The days are getting shorter. Gradually the heat will be crushed.
If I get anything going for a weekend outing, I'll post up.

i just recently got back from round rock and it was ******* scortching hot. i was there on work and i ended up in a tin roofed shed for 2 weeks never again. but i did end up at the twin peaks on thursday night and got quite a laugh out of all the leather prospect vests being sported, but everyone was really cool and layed back though and a hot little thing named stephanie kept the beers coming. by far the best place to check out in round rock besides the twin peaks is the perfect 10. but i hope like hell im never in this part of the country during the summer again.

There is something about Texas women during the summer. Water + women = nudity. It gets more acute as they have to go back to school in the fall.
I think it's a nesting thing. They have to have everything in place by Thanksgiving or something. Christmas with the family has to be perfect. After New Year's you are the dumbass that didn't play along. Whaaaaa? Then the chase starts again. It's Valentines, then it's her birthday, then it's the kids' birthdays 1-2-3 how romantic.
Before you know it, it's July Fourth and I declare independence.
Did I say it happens again?
