Loserbaby,

If someone is paying you to work on aircraft right now, stick with it. I love what I do, but 12 hour days for Mc Donalds pay is what general aviation is about these days. I went from good money two years ago to...............crickets! On the good side, I don't feel as bad taking time off to go ride!

Well, this turned out to be an interesting thread! Thank you for your service Marquez! Nice to see some here in the States still working and / or back to work. I am an out of work Building Inspector / full time college student. Reinventing myself during this lull in the economy. Degree in Natural Resource conservation in the works.

Street names changed every 3 blocks if you could find a street sign. Most streets went only one way and always in the wrong direction. Some streets weren't streets at all;they were pedestrian malls. Traffic was impossible. I'd rather stick knitting needles into my eyes than drive in London again.

I'm a motorcycle mechanic right now, but also work on cars and computers. Amateur graphic artist and avid video game player. Becky, I tip my hat to anyone who can drive anything larger than a Mini Cooper through the streets of London. I'd love to see what it's like first hand to do it on a daily basis.

Here is my current project for a buddy. A 1963 Triumph Bonneville T120 engine, these are after photos from my cell. Nothing was this clean after sitting for 20 years.

The Hawk Guy
I'm currently a Lean Manufacturing Manager working for an international manufacturer of electrical products. I had been a Manufacturing Engineer for years prior to my current employment. I've worked for United Technologies Corporation and various others in the Aerospace and Defense industry.

I'm looking to get into Law Enforcement field (CIA, FBI, US Marshal Service...etc.)....something I've always wanted to do since I was a kid but took a different path when I was in college.

Liaison Engineer....

Thought I'd chime in since I saw a number of aviation folk. Currently working on the 787 up in Everett. I've got pictures, but I'm just not supposed to show people due to proprietary rights and what not. Ohh, and for those who are not familiar with what an LE is... we develop the repairs and tell people how to fix anything and everything. Structural repairs to paper snafu's. So basically I **** people off by telling them they made mistakes and they have to redo their work.

Graduated from CU Boulder with a BSME, emphasis was on vehicle dymanics but I dabbled in composites and started working for a company called Adam Aircraft in south Denver. Been working with composite aircraft since 2005 now. Currently contracting since I could get hired on directly... no complaints, it's good to be employed.

Great shot of the Citation X too... personal favorite

Software Engineer. Been doing if for about 30 years. My first program was written on punch cards. For you young whipper snappers program statements used to be typed onto cards, one line per card, and then read into the computer by a card reader. Card readers were probably the coolest mechanical hardware ever. Right now the IT market sucks in my area. I'm still clinging to my job. Most of my colleagues are Harley lovers. I spend a great deal of my day listening to them tell me how hard my SH sucks compared their Sportsters or whatever the hell they ride.

Got lots of truck drivers on here it seems. Good thread. It's neat to see what everyone does. I'm a bit surprised that only one cop spoke up... I know there's more of us. Scared to get caught speeding??
