Yellow SuperHawks

Were US SuperHawks offered in more than one yellow color throughout their production life? I have a yellow 99 and the label on the subframe lists COLOR as Y-124P and CODE as Y124B. I believe this color is pearl shining yellow.

Yup Y124P = Shining Pearl Yellow

The other yellow is

Y163P = Pearl Flash Yellow - and is the later yellow from around 2001

Wicky... perhaps that is in the non US market?

My references show only one Yellow in the US bound market Y124P Pearl Shining Yellow in 1999 and 2000 MY.
Not saying that is accurate, just what the fiche is showing me here.

The yellows in the US ('99 & '00) are the same. You can confirm any of the color codes and years at colorrite.com. Yes there are a bunch of other cool colors outside the US market.

Thank you all for the input. I'm asking because I'm trying to get a Sargent seat with the proper yellow rear trim to match my bike. There are two yellows listed for the SH on Sargent's site, Pearl Flash Yellow (C-077) and Yellow X (C-015). I have samples of both from Sargent, but neither seems to be an ideal match. The two samples are very close to the same hue, though I would pick the Yellow X.

It seems like to much to be a coincidence that Sargent has a color named Pearl Flash Yellow. It seems more likely that that yellow is a match for Honda's yellow of the same name whether it was offered on the SH or not.

I did speak to a rep at Sargent and he was unable to direct me as to which yellow was a proper match. So, if anyone knows which Sargent yellow is the best match for a 99 SuperHawk yellow, please let me know.

That's odd. C-011 is not listed on Sargent's SuperHawk page nor was it provided as a sample with "all" the yellows Sargent offers.

Flash, do you have a Sargent seat with C-011 yellow on your bike and does it match?

Thanks. I'll call Sargent tomorrow. I'm not finding C-011 listed for any models or brands. Did you get your seat recently or has it been a while?

I think I got mine ~6 months later. Could not find the receipt so I cannot say which I got but I can say that although the Yellow does not match exactly it does not really matter. It looks like it is meant to go together. I have not used the back seat fairing since I got the sargent.
Very comfy, excellent addition

Well C-011 is discontinued. I'm going with C-015 and hoping for the best.

Thanks all.

Old Yeller

Your right the mother ship at Honda did have different yellows!

My 2003 GL1800 is a pearl yellow which is a bright yellow and later GL's had a more burnt yellow which does not shine like the 03 model.

I have had more people on GL's stop and ask me what year mines is because it a great bright yellow color with flecks of other colors in the sun and their bummed because their yellow GL is dull in color...

BYW it is just about impossible to get Honda paint outside a dealership or authorized auto body shop just thought I would pass this on...

Had a bag on my 06 Honda Shadow Saber 1100 rub against the rear fender and it needed painting so I took the fender to a very good paint shop for repair in town and they had to use some type of paint analyzer gun to match the color because Honda does not give out their paint.

It turned out great and the paint was matched to a 05 Toyota which worked out very well in the end.
