yes they sure can. But the price may go up a tad.

I know Caterpillar has those Roman style thread seals, if you can tell me what size carriage bolt you're using I can probably get a bunch.
Also, how soon do I send my Paypal? |
You should consider fabricating some CCT's for the VFR800 and sell the on their forum. For the most-part they are a bunch of "farklers" and would enjoy such an item. APE doesn't make a CCT for the VFR800 so it's an open market for you!

Otherwise it's a no-brainer.... |

Is there a reason for that? Are they more complicated or something like that?

UK VFR800 vtec owner "“At about 10,000 miles, I heard the camchain rattling in the rear cylinders. Honda are replacing one camchain tensioner under warranty, but I’m not happy. How long before the other tensioner fails, and will it be fixed under warranty?“I just can’t understand why Honda haven’t solved this problem after all these years. One of the reasons people bought the old VFR800 was reliability.“I love riding the V-TEC bike, but the camchain problem makes me wonder if I should keep it long term.” Join the club! and the VFR's doesn't look to dissimilar to a VTR's in principle, though with 4 mounting holes instead of 2 http://fiche.ronayers.com/Index.cfm/...HAIN_TENSIONER http://fiche.ronayers.com/Index.cfm/...HAIN_TENSIONER |
my friend just picked up a vfr800 and has been in the market for cct's. He was not happy that ape did not make any, according to him the others on the vfr forum weren't happy either, I see a market for you. You may not need a job at this rate. I was gonna start another thread to see if you could make a simple offset bracket so any sliders would work plus put them in a different location. Great work on these I'd pick up a set if I didn't already do my mine. Lazn and I did another walk throught with tons of detailed picks for installing these. We've been a little lazy at completing it and posting it however it only requires removing the rear valve cover like someone else had mentioned before, 3000 miles since and running strong. The difference in top end noise on lazn bike was amazing . You've got talent that's for sure.
|
I am thinking I may want some!:D
|
I bought my APEs a while ago, or I would jump on this deal.
I just installed them. Not hard. When I talked to my dad, he just laughed. He rides a 94 VFR750, GEAR DRIVEN, that's why he laughed. Trucinduc, nice product and price. |
if you are going to put in an o-ring, make sure that you either couter-bore a spot or at least bevel it a little so that the o-ring has a place to go. Otherwise the nut will not fully tighten until the oring squishes out. Just an idea...

|
Please be specific about the particulars as offered. As in, all upgrades as suggested here in this thread? Can we get a pic of the upgraded item?
|
I have not finished the upgraded one yet. But as soon as I do ill be sure to post up pics.
The mounting bolts will be countersunk. there will be some sort of thread seal, still to be decided. |
OK. Good price, just be sure to list complete list of contents and particulars on the order page. I'll want to know the thread seal solution before ordering.
|
I'll be in for a set as well....after I see a finished product.
Nice job on the prototype!!! ...should make some PAIR blockoffs in color as well. ;) |
I'll be in after I see the final product:D.

what are signs of the current CCT's going? like how do i know if i need a set??
1) walk around bike observing all/any decals 2) use pad and writing utensil to copy said decals 3) you need these adjusters if any of the following decals appear ..... VTR1000F, Superhawk 996, Firestorm, CBR600 :p Yo Truck, do yourself another favour, just make a batch of 20 now. ;) It won't take long to sell them off, especially with Spring around the corner. Just a thought. |
Trucker, I would like the color RED for the CCT's
thanks Paul |
yeah i will def get a set of theses, Bikes engine is at 70,000km and it's time for a rebuild. JE pistons / Yoshi stage 1 cams .. might as well grab these at the same time as i replace my timing chains.
Email sent Thanks |

thanks sadly my bike is naked, but it does say honda ;)
If your title/registration say VTR1000(F) or Superhawk If your VIN correlates to a Honda VTR100F Then you need these. |
I can take a picture of a revised one but its in the bare aluminum state, no paint yet.
|
Looking forward to it. :)
