Well, hell why not.
Grew up in CA, spent a year or so in CO, then joined the Army.. 21 years later I'm in Iraq enjoying free travel, food, meeting new folks every day, some of who live to see tomorrow, some of which I go to memorials for in the next few days.
Been riding bikes for most of my 41 years, got into riding and racing dirt bikes a few years ago, and it stuck, now my youngest son and wife are fully addicted. I have but one street bike now, the SuperHawk, like me, no longer the fastest, lightest or strongest, but in capable hands, can hang with most all, and always gets the job done.
It’s time to go knock on some doors (you should see what we knock with
) and see if we can find some very special locals to bring home and interview.
These threads are always interesting.. I look forward to coming back in the morning and reading it from start to finish.

At least you guys are out riding. Here in Wisconsin the weather sucks. On the nice days I'm stuck working, on the cold days rainy/snowy days I'm off. For example, today I worked. It was 50 degrees and sunny, and as soon as I got off the clouds rolled in and it started to rain. Tomorrow there calling for 33 degrees for the high and snow. What did I do to **** off the motorcycle gods?

Hi All ... just saying hi- post#1. Have been on bikes (dirt and street) for quite awhile. Picked up a '98 a couple of weeks ago. It was sitting for a year so does not run well. I've been reading about removing the carbs
for cleaning.
Welcome. Cleaning the carbs really isn't that big of a pain. The effort is worth the reward.
I claim San Antonio TX, but I grew up in Colorado, Spent some time in Kentucky and Alabama and currently stationed with the Coast Guard in the great state of Taxachusetts's
. Been riding for about 4 years had my hawk for three and a half.
