Where's everybody from?

Where's everybody from?
I know this thread has been done time and time again, but I thought I'd start another one anyway. It seems there are a lot of new people(myself included) to the site and I'm curious as to the level of diversity.
I live in NC, grew up in Colorado. Have been in the Army for 10 years and riding sport bikes for around 15.

Hey stonejrw, is Shelbyville Ky in Simpsonville or something like that? I may be getting Simpsonville mixed up being in Shelby Co.?
I went to school somewhere in that area when I was like 9, so I don't quite remember the area.

South end of the South Pacific.
Motorcycling paradise; year-round riding, even in the cold bits. Want to do the SHOG second annual get-together in 2008 in a whole country that has Deal's Gaps everywhere, but with a fraction of the population?
Cost of the travel here may be an obstacle, I realise, but bike use can be inexpensive.
Now that they are discontinued, new SHs will be about USD7,500 or less soon, I would say. But to come and visit and go ride for a few thousand miles, good early gixxers or even '80-'84 aircooled I4s are about USD2-2,500. Cheaper than hiring, a lot more fun, and you get your money back.
You need to remember that it is a clean, green country because it's washed regularly by rain, so you need to bring some wet weather gear.

Simpsonville is in shelby County. Its about 5 min from my house. I wonder what school you went to? The only thing there is the new elementary school. If you were nine I bet you went to the old elementary school.

You can always strike up a conversation around here. It might not take the direction that you think but something will happen. I see by your location you're in country. We have one of our moderators over there with you. He lives from just up the road from me. (in Texas that's forty miles) I almost bought an 04 Superhawk recently but couldn't do the deal. The guy was too proud of the mess that he'd made and I was too cheap. I really like the gauges of the newer 'Hawks compared to my 98. Keep hangin' around here. Nobody bites hard but we all like kickin' ***!
