I bought a red 02 last year w/4K miles. Ended the season with another 4K on it. Still in stock form. Time for upgrades.

Titanium 05, 3300 miles! I love going into the local Honda shop here and being asked, "What do you ride?" I tell em and the immediate response is, "Wow, don't see to many of those around here." I have yet to see another Hawk around here.

Even if they were manufactured in '97 none of them made it to the states before Jan 98 so all of the first year were 98's. By 99 production dropped to half that and by the end it was down to 40-70k bikes a year.

Well that is not exactly true. Yes the US bikes were early '98 model release but they were here before '98.
I bought mine in 09\97 (and it was no where near the first one sold in the area) so either I'm real special (not) or the were on sale before 01\98

01 red...it's the only I've ever seen in this area...that's what caught my eye. Never seen one before, but I'm sure there has to be another not too far away.

02 red 4200 miles. I went to bike shop today to find some frame sliders. I asked for sliders for an 02 superhawk and the guy behind the counter said " an 02 what?" LOL

Tweety 02-22-2009 02:53 PM

Get used to it...:)

LSL sliders or T-Rex works the best... Do a search and you should find plenty of info on both...

Bikephreak 02-22-2009 06:17 PM

Thanks for the tip Tweety. I'll check them out.
