Question What fits???

Hey all, I am doing some work on a 99 superhawk for a friend, He wants a single seat instead of the massive two together, will anyother subframe bolt right on to that frame, I was thinking maybe a RC51 or one of the CBR's.. I have seen pics of custome rears before, just don't know what they used.. Any help or ideas would be great.... Thanks

Do some searching here.. What you'll find is nothing "fits" if fitment in your idea is something that "bolts up" Fitment of a new tail really involves gas tank to tail light. What you'll find is things that work at one end cause an issue elsewhere. It's a custom project for sure,, worthwhile if you have the desire and skills.

Good luck.

If you go that route, post up the work and results.

You can use an RC51 subframe, seat and tail section with minimal effort. You just need to fabricate some sort of bracket for the lower mounts of the subframe. The seat fits in really nice and the plactic needs ever so minor trimming, if at all, against the tank. Let me know if you are interested as I have the tail that I used in the picture that I am looking to sell.

single seat

You might want to try Sharkskinz.com they have a single seat tail piece for both street and track. I think that is pretty much bolt on. It may not be custom but a lot less work.
