VTR Onboard Video Ride

Found myself alone at home last night. Had a few minutes left on the MiniDV tape. Parked the camcorder on the bike and recorded the ride down the driveway, the county road, the highway, and up/down some local roads to the special dinner place. The sun is low so there is some tach reflection in the windscreen, and sometimes I'm riding towards the setting sun. Maybe it sets the mood. Given this is a high fashion dinner ride with the sun setting, the classic Wes Montgomery jazz classic "Bumpin at Sunset" accompanies.

Relaxing vid to watch if you're snowbound and can't ride. Some parts kinda remind me of riding up to the Sandia ski basin here in Albuquerque....minus the wild turkeys.....

Perhaps you can relate to this video. From a March visit to NM with my wife over a weekend...

I can definately relate to that one!! Thanks for the video. Now I have something to show people when they ask why I like riding there. I've been in NM since 1st grade and been riding for years and STILL haven't taken the stroll thru Madrid....how lame is that?? Gotta do it now!
Thanks again,
Ken

I was puzzled that most Harley riders don't wear helmets until I realized that I don't wear a helmet sitting on my couch either!!

Like that one huh? I just LOVE cutting on Harleys. I was even coming up with some cuts to tape on my fender so I'd have a use for the fender until I get around to cutting it off.....

Bet you can relate to that one . The Sandia Crest climb is one of the finest sporting roads I've ever been on. My wife were on a loaded Duc ST during the ascent. We also made a tour of the Jemez Mountains, through Los Alamos, over to Jemez Springs, etc. Great long weekend vacation.

Yeah, I've been thru Jemez Springs ala Los Alamos way. Actually dropped my '86 Yamaha Fazer up there due to a very sudden cold snap and a fogged visor. That was about 16 years ago. Haven't wrecked since (knock on wood). What camera mount are you using for your videos? I'm thinking of getting one.
You know how to vacation! I can't even get my wife to SIT on my bike...she's got the "my friends parents were killed on a Goldwing" syndrome and the only way I ride now is that I pay for 250K life insurance policy.
There are a ton of nice places to ride in NM, you just have to keep an eye out for the DWI crowd....and I do mean CROWD.

Duc007... Connected a MiniDV camcorder using a gas cap ring mount found at Sportbikecam.com. Can see this mount, and other mounting options, at http://www.pashnit.com/cam-mount.htm
