Type of exhaust on your SuperHawk

Re: Type of exhaust on your SuperHawk
I'm pretty happy with my high mount Jardines (the round ones), although they are a different sound than the low oval Yoshis I had (a crash claimed them). The Jardines seem to be a little sportier, more controlled sound, vs. the Yoshis, which were a bit more open and brash. Volume is a little lower with the Jardines, not a whole lot, I can still hear myself through my helmet at more than 1/8 throttle or so. It's always great to see the look on the Harley guys faces, they all rubberneck to see what kind of Harley it is, and then turn away in disgust...... that's normally my cue rev 'er up real good.
I don't have any experience with 'bafflectomized' stock cans, although I hear that they sound pretty good. Maybe someone else can fill us in on that one.....

Erion cans for right nw. I'm debating on whether to go with D & D (Because I heard they are obnoxiously loud) and have a hi pipe made to fit them, or go complete custom with two undertail canisters . A sort of 2 -1-2 combination.
We'll see how much it all costs first.
I like the sound of the erions. The people that ride behind say it sounds good as well so I guess I can't complain.

I have Ti Yoshies. They came on the bike, but they're reasonably quiet, super light, and I like the look. I like high pipes though.
I would trade them for a high pipe that kept the passenger pegs, though. Takers?
I have a carbon Kerker on my 'little' Hawk, and it won't burn my daughters' legs when they ride with me.

I have Yoshi RS-3's... the dealer where I got them did the "Oh, these will sound great on your bike" routine. They sounded pretty much like stock pipes which aren't that impressive, IMHO. To appease me they had them repacked with race-type baffles and now they sound SWEEEEET!!!!!

I had the D&D's on but they got too loud. I had a friend baffelectomize the stock cans. i've heard that the D&D's have to be repacked routinely. I like the sound and he idea I don't have to repack the modifed stockers.

I went for the completely standard look.. with part numbers.. but the insides have been replace with a straight through system,.. similar to most after market units.
I have an excellent sound,.. without the heat retained in the standard mufflers.

Sorry guy's my Hindles not on the list. High mounts with stainless cans and TI pipes from junction to the can. Also have TI head pipes I got on CL but haven't installed yet. Still looking for a TI "junction" box for a lack of a better word.

LOL. Yeah, where are Scorpion and Leo Vince?
I have D&D on my Firestorm. They're loud and awesome. They look like **** and need to be replaced. Unless I can find something different and cool (like some Microns) I'll probably go with D&D (black) or those Danmoto GP style cans.

My Exhaust
I built my own... a one-off, hand built system from the header back using part of the stock s-bends/Dale Walker mid-tubes and cans.
Even made my own hangers.
The mufflers sounded great on my FJR, but awesome on the 996!
PS: wanted to post a pic but need to educate myself as to how?
You may be able to see @ the album I posted?
