The Superhawks Big Brother

saw this bike on a link from another vtr site. it's said to be the prototype for the vtr. definetly not much too look at but... i can see the resemblence. good thing some stuff got changed!

More likely the superhawk's uncle.

IIRC from 97, it's basically a tarted up Hawk GT 650 (bored out maybe?) with a full swingarm and a cbr900 front end. I agree, it improve with age!

That was a pieced together prototype of spare parts put together by Honda usa. I have an article in one of my back issues of cycleworld,(I'll have to see if I can dig it up), that explained the whole process behind the bike. Ironically, if it wasn't for Honda USA R&D there would've never been a superhawk, now we're the first to lose it.
