I wonder how much of a power loss running both cylinders into one stock can will eat? Probably won't matter much. That thing will be fun, fun, fun AND will sound WAY better than everyone else!

hehe

It's gotta be down on power, but it sure is cool.

Dual mufflers are purely for sound reduction, especially in a big twin to meet EPA regs. Pure racebikes run a single "can" and make a whole lot more power than the much heavier dual "cans" most street bikes are forced to use. IMHO, of course...

Single can followup...my bad
Oooops, sorry guys, I didn't view the cart video til just now. Looks like he's running both cylinders into a single OEM can.
Obviously, you are correct, it would be quite restrictive. My point was if he ran into a "straight-thru" aftermarket or racing exhaust can from both cylinders there would be no penalty, except for excessive sound levels!! Please accept my apologies, eh? Cheers, BKL |
Just wondering where you've been. It'd been a while since I last heard from you. Not too many requests for your email address lately :) since there has been a few folks doing SSS mods and we now have a pretty good knowledge base on the forum. Welcome back though.
