So...I am on a test ride and 400 miles later....

...I finally made it back home.

Isn't it funny how it's 76 degrees and Sunny outside?
I go for a test ride and find myself somewhere on some road in between the Central Coast Range and Bakersfield,Ca.
Not a car in sight for miles...200 horse power would have felt slow.

...and 400 miles later...I get back to the beach.

Hmm.....jealous yet?

Carrizo Plains? The weather was awesome today, unfortunately I only got to ride to and from work. 227 is better than nothing though.

Naw...some road not on any map...about 60 miles East of Santa Maria and 15 miles or so SE from New Cayuma. I came up on a couple sport bike riders. We were cruising in the low triples and it felt like we were riding mopeds. They were taking sweepers at about 140 mph.
Heaven.

That looks like Huasna Valley Road East of AG.

Edit: ...or somewhere around Nacimento in the PR area.

Well a matter of fact I'm not. Tomorrow at this time we'll be aboard a southwest flight to Cali for 6 days! It's currently 25 f outside!

Can you recommend any good mexican restaurants?

Where in CA? We have some great Mexican food, but most of it sucks. Look for the small hole in the wall type places, just not too dumpy or you will be questioning if the chili Colorado is pork or some other animal

I'd be jealous, but it wasn't a yellow superhawk, so.....no.

Some great riding in the central coast area. My fav road is the highway 58.
Also done "Carrizo Plains?" a lot of that road is just dirt! I did it on my
GSX-R1000 one year on the way back from Moto GP, Was awesome.
Yep Socal is the best place for all round riding. I'm off to NC next weekend for 5 days. So far the Winter in North Carolina has been a no event! Last Xmas we had 6" of snow this year sunny and 60. Crazy weather right now.
