Shipping to a US address. Can Anyone Help?

Hey folks, I'm trying to purchase a cycling jersey but the company won't ship to Canada (or Michigan?!?). I'm wondering if I could ship it to someones address and then have them ship it to me. I would pay online and simply change the shipping adress. I've been around a while so I've had a few dealings with other members. I would of course cover shipping costs from you to me, upfront. Thanks.

Good luck. Unfortunately, many of us Canucks have to deal with this very issue more often than we`d like....

I have a veritable stockpile of parts at Hawkrider`s house ATM. I will be heading there in the coming days to pick them up.

Kind of sad that we have to resort to such measures to either get a product or avoid getting screwed on outrageous shipping charges but alas it`s not a perfect world....

Be glad to help.
I live in Oregon, tho, so it would cost a bundle for shipping..
Maybe someone from the northeast could volunteer?

I'm in the North east and would be happy to help....

Mikstr - I'm right down the road from Greg (50 miles). When are you coming down? Time to get a beer?

Hi Steve,

I am waiting to hear back from him. Last time I got a message he informed me he was just starting an intense work period that would last for a few weeks. Based on what he told me, I should be hearing from him shortly.

cheers

Thanks for the responses guys. Too many retailers are decrying the fact that China is flooding the market with knock-off crap, yet I could get something shipped for free at half the price from Shanghai, when a legit retailer won't ship it north of the border! I'd rather keep my business on this continent though.

Same here, and of course it can even be illegal as long as I won't get caught! And now a shameless plug for that most amazing quasi government agency and my erstwhile employer the USPS. Shipped packages the other day and the friendly clerk directed me so as to get fastest shipping at lowest cost. Flat rate box was half price of what I'm used to paying and as we say at work "we DAMAGE and LOSE more **** every day than UPS and Fedex SHIP!" Mail in your box today? You just witnessed another miracle!

I think www.shipito.com can handle it. Works fine to Europe.

is there nobody along the border around buffalo that handles packages for canadians??? i use a guy in houlton maine all the time. accepting packages and holding them for canadians is his biz. when i pass through woodstock nb i pop across the border and get my stuff.

it's too bad many us retailers are put in a position where they basically can ship to canada. their supplier forbids it, the export process is too bothersome, canadian government taxes duties and levies, the shipping is too expensive, etc... imagine if that border didn't exist...
