If I recall correctly, that is one of our forum members, Wolverine 97 I believe.

If you listen, he won twice on red lights, and legit on the third race.

Are they really this close? I don't think so. My buddy can pull away from me with a twist of his throttle, let's not mention top end.

In this instance who had what gearing? Who was shifting at their peak HP?

I love the fact that he beat him and 2 people got it on video.

Actually, at the bottom end the two are very evenly matched so in a 1/4 mile the superhawk will give the RC a good run...
After that though the hawk is out of puff and the RC walks away easily...
And as far as midrange roll on, as long as the RC is even near to it's powerband, it's bye-bye hawk...

That said, I also remember that the RC at the time of that video wasn't fully tuned, it was a bit down on power vs where it should be...

Talking that video will never get old

Tweety, you're as sharp as a tack to remember that little bit of info . His power commander still needs tuned. That being said, this RC does not leave me in the dust. He can pull away on top a bit, but not as much as we expected. With the properly tuned PC, things would be a little different. On the track, I won't even comment....

Here's the run sheet (I'm right lane):

He had me all paranoid about red lighting. It was my first time on the wagon and he had previous runs. That's why I was a bit late on the tree. Even with his reds, I still ran quicker e.t.'s.

Another friend got video from the other side (without my wife yellin').

My friends, this is one of thee best sounding motorcycles of all time (IMO). This one has cut down Sato carbon pipes, which sound simply awesome. Now that I have an HD camera, I will get better audio for all to hear. Of course, this morning it is 14 degrees out, so you'll have to wait.

Well... Tell him to get his *** in gear then...

Wolverine... That's just how my brain works... If I read something I remember it, photographic memory... It's just a matter of me retrieving it... That's how I'm able to quote long past threads from memory...

RCVTR is an unknown quantity at this point
When I was riding mine with my friend Dean on his RC51, when he would roll on to pass, I would wick it at the same time. The initial punch would have me closing the gap a bit at first, then maintain an even gap.

This was in real-world street riding. He had more in the top end for sure, but it didn't matter in most situations.

On the track, my Super Hawk was faster! He would come in and just shake his head.

at my last track day, there was an older guy in our group who had an RC. But he was having a hard time getting off the bike in the corners. he's just stay upright and lean the thing WAY over. control rider talked to him about it. anyway, we were smoking him all day long. me and my buddy Doug on his SV650. just goes to show, 80% rider 20% bike.

Try telling your average dyno jockey that. . .

Probably more than that.. 95% rider or even more.. Assuming the bikes are in the same category that is.

My last track I was at , one of the local Tech marshals decided to pull out
his Honda Magna !! this guy rode the wheels off of it !! I talked to him after and all he really did was beefed up the suspension and put better brake pads on it ... he had the knee out and scraping the pipes it was awesome watching him pass people ...

Its not what you ride .... its how you ride with what you have

I still think the video is the best one I have viewed yet. Nice bike Wolverine!!! and your vid gave me a big smile when I heard you whooped him fair and square. It just goes to show that the Superhawk is a beast and puts a smile on fellow riders faces. LOL!!!

All of the above is why I dated the from the library staff rather than the cheer squad. More bang for the buck, don't ya' know.

My TLS would walk all over my friends RC51.
The RC is a bit heavy.
