rain

the weather in moncton, and most of the n. e. of n. a. has been terrible. constant grey skies, rain pretty much everyday. brutal. i guess it could be worse - snow.

first the economic recession, now a meteorogical recession.

Finepooch, I`m heading up your way the end of next week. I`m going to take the ferrie from St. Johns to Digby, ride around NS for awhile and maybe do Gaspe on the way home. I hope your weather is better up there than it has been here. We`ve had 8 days out of the last 30 that had NO rain. I`m not exactly racking up the miles on the hawk this year.

irrs, we're getting your weather one day later! it just comes right up the coast.

the only thing that ferry from "the john" to digby might be good for is to do a loop around the s shore of ns, through hali, truro, moncton, and then back through "the john" back to maine.

let me know if you come by moncton. i'm right on the highway and you could stop by for some maintenance, chain lube, etc... i could also give you some ideas on where to ride.

If you ride in Texas you have to choose your fight. Traffic, Temperature, Temperment.

I let all the "really important people" get to work first. I head out 0930 and back by 1300 with everything that I needed to do for clients and projects. $9.70 for gas this week.

Temperment comes into play about 1500. Soccer Moms, hot cars, screaming kids - bad mix. On a ******* cell phone and Kotex at the same time - who's driving?

nu hawk - you can have that rat race. that stuff is minimal here. there isn't enough population to cause those big problems.

Yeah I forgot to mention that the coolness is induced by the smog creating a kind of nukular winter. The next good earthquake will have a bunch of people migrating out of here again.

Wikipedia, but the data is from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. OECD, a good source. The wiki article talks about some of the difficulties of the comparison.

Sorry to (somewhat) hijack the thread, but it was pretty low key anyway.
