Position light

What's the purpose of the "position light"? I'm thinking about changing out the bulb to a different color and I just wanted to know what it did. Thanks.

Depends on where you live. It's a euro thing. I'll let them ess-splain it. Mines unhooked as I use the lead for my voltmeter.

I don't know if the position light serves a purpose. But, I imagine putting in a different colored-bulb will get you real familiar with the LEOs in LA-LA land. Not a detraction against you, just from my experience that many police offers in LA don't approve of our two-wheel kind and would look for any excuse to give you extra grief.

Actually, the guy I bought it from had a clear lens with a white light. I want to keep the clear lens, but put in an amber bulb.
