I have the deepest respect for you military guys. There are many who appreciate what you are doing. I was in the Navy in the late '60s, Communications Technician 2nd Class. They now call that rate Crypto Tech.

That's what my Dad did also, and about the same time frame. Bootcamp, NCTC, then Okinawa. He was only a CT3 when he left.

I was at Skaggs Island (later to become Sears Point aka Infineron Raceway) for Class A school, then stationed at the Imperial Beach HFDF Station.

Ask your dad if he remembers the Pueblo and the Liberty, both CT ships involved in major incidents in 1967.

I work in the film industry. Props and Set Decorating. So I get to spend company money on things I think look cool. Some of it actually gets used in the movie. I also get to fabricate one-off pieces from time to time. Fun stuff. Here's a piano I made from scratch including the keys. It's about 11 inches wide.

also worked for a hobby shop working on nitro rc vehicles for a year.
